Art Walk Hope

If you’re a “Rambo First Blood” uber fan (movie filmed in Hope), a seasoned art enthusiast, or just looking for a unique experience, a visit to the town of Hope should make your travel list in BC.

The tradition of chainsaw carving in Hope began in the 1990s when local artists set out to beautify the town by transforming tree stumps into works of art. It quickly grew into a beloved attraction for locals and tourists alike.

On the drive there Doug couldn’t resist a Skagit River walk as it promised big trees, but a washed out bridge prevented us from walking too far.

We did, however stop at Bridal Falls for a quick walk before reaching Chilliwack and on to Vancouver. The falls themselves were nice, but like a lot of spots, post-Covid, the area was overrun with tourists who don’t always respect Mother Nature.
