It’s no wonder I have trouble writing this blog in real time! There’s always so much to see and do and when I do get a bit of downtime it’s impossible for me to skip posting about off-the-beaten path locations. I could just tell you that we drove to Banff, but half the joy in RVing isn’t just the destination, but the places you’ll go in getting there!
Sharing this short drive north from Waterton (in Alberta, Canada) to Pincher Creek. We stopped along the way to check out Lundbreck Falls and then enjoyed our overnight stay with a unique Harvest Host – Wind Coulee Canadian Horses. Heidi from Wind Coulee is not only raising Canadian Horses to preserve this rare breed, but is also protecting native grassland. She had a small, playful colt that enjoyed running up and down the fence line with Doug, donkeys, and some chickens who provided us with fresh eggs while we were there. What we enjoyed the most was learning about these horses from Heidi and watching her work with this majestic breed. This overnight stay was great and the little bit of money we gave went to a very good cause!
