Fall in Love with new Hampshire

This year when fall arrives, be ready.  Grab your favorite scarf and pumpkin latte and head for New Hampshire!

When cool autumn weather reveals nature’s true hues, you’ll want to be somewhere like White Mountain National Forest or driving along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway – a 34.5 mile road between Lincoln, New Hampshire and Conway, New Hampshire.

Driving these roads we ooohed and aaahed watching nature’s fireworks!  Crimson, rust, gold, and tangerine popped and faded into one another and new colors would burst forth as we traversed up and over each small hill and around the next bend.  A wonderful road trip!

We stretched our with Bailey on a short 1.3 mile walk to Thomson Falls and Doug did an 8 mile hike along Franconia Falls Trail.

These pictures can’t fully capture the dynamic range of colors, the graceful movement of the leaves, or the crisp smell of autumn in the air, but we hope the post will encourage you to consider an east coast trip in fall or at minimum, it will remind you that, rather than bemoaning the end of the summer, no matter where you are this autumn, get out in nature as every season has something unique waiting for you.
