If you’ve been following our Canadian Maritime posts you know that these areas were the highlight of 2022. Not only was the scenery in Quebec Province, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland stunning, but the people were incredibly nice and the boondocking was great.
There is no better example of this than Hampton Harbor on the Bay of Fundy.
On the outskirts of a small community, we boondocked with another larger RV near the docks on the Bay of Fundy. Several locals came down while we were there and all of them offered information on local hikes and/or local restaurants in the area. They were curious about where we’d been and where we were going but none of them were concerned about “strangers” parking in their community. They weren’t just nice, they went the extra mile to be helpful.
This boondocking location was lovely and it had a great visual of low tide versus high tide which in the Bay of Fundy can change by nearly 50ft! Doug also enjoyed, and later shared, his stand up paddle board with our RV neighbor.
We’d heard about waterfall hike at Meier Point and got a recommendation to eat at a restaurant called the Crow’s Nest. Both were good tips!
We’re so grateful and thankful to all of the Canadian locals that took the time to talk with us about great things to see and do in their area.
