Leaf Peeping Point Folly to Quechee Gorge

Over the next 10 days we immersed ourselves in the peak fall colors in Connecticut, Vermont and New Hampshire.

Starting at Point Folly CT we headed north.

The colors were so pretty we just wanted to get a closer look so stopped at Macedonia Brook State Park near Fuller Pond and took a short walk.

We stopped again to check out Kent Falls (at the park with the same name) in Vermont.

Before we knew it, we’d reached Quechee State Park.  At 165 feet deep, Quechee Gorge is the deepest gorge in Vermont.  They advertise it as “Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon“.  While beautiful and easily accessed, comparing it to the Grand Canyon at all is quite an overstatement.

Our plan?  Continue north as the color of the leaves just kept getting better and better.
