We’d been to Victoria BC once before but if it’s your first time going, 3 days should allow you to experience the city’s highlights.
Here’s a suggested itinerary:
DAY 1
Our prior Instagram post had some information on Butchart Gardens. In the afternoon, consider a visit to the Harley Castle at the Royal Roads University as part of your day 1 itinerary.
DAY 2
Visit the Parliament Building to learn about the province’s history and government. It’s a short walk from here to the Inner Harbour area and if you’re up for more history, we heard that people enjoy the Royal BC Museum or you can simply enjoy a waterfront libation.
DAY 3
Start your day at the Victorian-era Craigdarroch Castle built for Mr. Dunsmuir. Then head to the Mile Zero marker at Beacon Hill Park. On one side of the park, you can meander through pretty landscaped areas. On the other, you can visit the tallest totem pole in North America and continue to walk along Dallas Road for some pretty ocean views. For a good meal or some souvenirs wander through trendy Cook Street Village nearby.
This is a city that’s easy to love with its mix of French and British influences. With its abundance of history, beautiful natural surroundings, and vibrant culture, this is a city that you’ll want to visit over and over again. Hopefully, this post provided some ideas for your first visit and you can let us know what your next visit includes.
