2022 RECAP
2022 was our year to see the eastern states. We wanted to see a lot of historical sites, take in the fall colors, look for potential retirement locations, and spend our holidays in Key West. Part way through the year, Canada opened up to US visitors and we headed for Quebec Province and the Canadian Maritimes, which we just loved.

Some Things We Learned in 2022
- In 2022, we learned to groom Bailey.
- We became bourbon lovers thanks to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
- Doug renewed his soaring pilot’s license and took kiteboarding lessons while on Prince Edward Island.
- We learned an inordinate amount about the settling of the US, its wars, its founding fathers, its maritime history, and its innovators. We are history geeks!
- We also learned a lot about birds, turtles, tortoises, crocodiles, alligators, and manatees.
- East coast fall colors reign supreme – sorry Colorado.
- RVing in the east and south is quite different than in the western US.

SO WHAT’S IN STORE FOR THE REST OF 2023?
- We’re looking forward to seeing more friends and family including a few in Florida and Arkansas before heading back to the western states.
- We’re excited about a couple of weddings and 2 new grandchildren arriving in 2023.
- We plan to drive part of Route 66 on our way back westward
- We loved eastern Canada so much that we’re hoping to add the Calgary, Banff, Jasper, and Vancouver areas of western Canada to our map this year!
Our current plan will have us up to either 40 or 41 states by the end of 2023. See below…
